ACE Funding for Schools in 2010

The long-awaited announcement of ACE and Intensive Literacy and Numeracy (ILN) funding for 2010 has been made:

TKOM groups:

  • Pukekohe High School (Rosehill College) $61,000
  • Aorere College (Otahuhu College & Wiri Central School) $317,000
  • Edgewater College $61,000

The full allocation to all providers in Aotearoa can be downloaded at ACE investment in schools

Congratulations to Te Hononga ki ngā Tupuna Trust

Another special Manukau initiative won a national award in Adult Learners Week. Te Hononga ki ngā Tupuna Trust was one of two organisations to receive a Dynamic Community Learning Award for its innovative Te Reo programme. You can read all about the Ōtara-based classes in the Adult and Community Education Newsletter, Spring 2009. Well done everyone!

Welcome to Te Kupenga o Manukau

Te Kupenga o Manukau had a great 2008, thanks to everyone's hard work and commitment. A very special thanks to our tireless secretary, Moana Papa, who is taking a well-earned break this year. Ngā mihi nui ki a koe, Moana.

The class of 2008!

Te Kupenga o Manukau is a community education network set up to support organisations providing Adult and Community Education (ACE). If you would like to find out more about us, feel free to come to a meeting or to contact us.

We have been meeting monthly in Manukau City since 2002 and we welcome visitors and new members. If you are a provider of adult and community education and are interested in attending our monthly meetings we’d love to see you.
